Petunia was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived entirely in a small outdoor kennel with minimal human contact.
Petunia is a shy, gentle, petite girl looking for a patient family to help her navigate this big world. She is currently being fostered and making amazing progress. Her foster mom is working on her potty training but she has already learned house manners and she is crate trained and good with dogs.
Petunia is more comfortable with women but is slowly learning that men can be safe, too. She is really benefitting from having another dog in the home who is calm and respectful of her. She loves burrowing under a pile of blankets to make herself a nest and when you wake up in the morning, she’s so excited to see you she gets the zoomies!
Petunia is able now to go on walks, thanks to her foster mom taking it at Petunia’s pace, and is learning that exploring the world can be fun and engaging!
